This doesn\u2019t mean search engines are dying, though. When we split this up by age group, 64% of Gen Z have discovered products on social media in the past three months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hubspot.com\/marketing\/state-of-consumer-trends-report\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.hubspot.com\/hs-fs\/hubfs\/image%201-Sep-19-2023-07-11-11-6097-PM.png?width=624&amp;height=379&amp;name=image%201-Sep-19-2023-07-11-11-6097-PM.png\" width=\"624\" height=\"379\" alt=\"percentage of each generation that has discovered new products on social media\" style=\"height: auto;max-width: 100%;width: 624px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>63% and 56% of consumers have used Facebook and Instagram, respectively, to make an in-app purchase in the past three months. Funny content was the most memorable but experienced a -29% YoY drop.
